CAN Bus reader

One for those who delve deep into the car network.

I have navcoder and the ibus interface but wondered if there was a better bus reader? I am trying to diagnose a repeating problem on my 2004 v8 petrol and navcoder is telling me all is ok as is RSW Allcomms.

Suggestions would be most welcome Smile "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

Fair point Thumbs Up

Its the regular reboot of the nav / head unit. Its as if the system is rebooting it about every 3 minutes. Its a problem others have had and no solution so far found.

So far I can't see any errors on the ibis to indicate what is going wrong so I wondered if anyone uses a better bus analyser "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

My old one did that once - I just checked all the connections in the compartment in passenger side of the boot and that seemed to fix it.

Yes battery and fuse 49 tricks already done.

I'm sure it is a bad connection and was hoping to see an error on the bus that would narrow down where it might be.

Next approach is to systematically remove each item until it stops........just need to find the time.
