I am torn with remap...I have had my last 5 diesel's all done yet when I mentioned it to a few RR drivers they said not to bother with the TDV8...if it was down to "enough power" then I'd get it done but they all said they had heard of problems. TBH it's enough for me but I am keen to hear any evidence of reasons not to remap as I am a fan Very Happy Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I bought RRUK's JE remapped 3.6 TDV8, it's great! I've nothing relevant to compare it to though, but I can confirm it goes like the clappers Thumbs Up

The main issue was the added strain on the turbo's (their comments, not mine).

I had mt Disco 3, Disco 3 and Audi A8 all done in the last 7-8 years and made massive difference yet when I was buying the FFRR I had a number of people say not to bother....

Are the turbo's not as strong as the 2.7 TDV6 engine - I thought they were practically the same design ?

I may still do it yet....though I am no longer a speed merchant and so I have no major reason to do it Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

The turbo's for the 4.4 are quite different. There's one large turbo which does most of the work and a smaller one that comes in for high power. On the 2.7 there are twin turbo's, one feeding each bank of cylinders - same for the 3.6.

Just had a look at the JE website and its 400 quid + VAT for the re-map. Is that value for money?
