Main Dealer Front Pads cost

When I was in the Main dealers yesterday they did a free condition report.
They do a % of wear on the pads and discs etc.

The front pads were 70% worn and they include a quote on the checklist.

Cost of pads £126.45, fitting time 1.1 hrs, fitted price £269.45 plus VAT brings it to £323.34 for a set of front pads Rolling with laughter

I am glad the discs were only 40% worn.

Out of interest a front parking sensor was £19.98 fitted.

the parking sensor fitted for that price is a bit of a bargain though

Germany 2017 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Carpathian Grey

Good Price! But the delivery to Germany is expensive, at ISLAND4x4 I have only 10 GBP FedEx for complete delivery, also when I have 500kg (last month 32 pair of discs!) in one order. Best rgs, Uli L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021

That should read "wouldn't fit cheap and nasty unbranded pads anymore".

There are "aftermarket pads" and then there's "aftermarket pads". Wink

I had my RR in yesterday, and was asked if I wanted my front brakes done as they are 60% worn. I think your dealer is a bit pricey and trying to rip you off mine quoted £265.32 + VAT Laughing 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Germany 2017 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Carpathian Grey

In Germany the official LR Dealer: Range Rover TDV8 front, 2 discs, 2 warn contacts, 2 pads-pairs, inkl. rental car for two hours and inkl. fixing = 650 Euro, you can calculate 0.84 today.... 545GBP, yeah!!! So, I take therefore 50% under LR and earn also enough... L405 SDV8 2017 + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021

Don't blame you if you had a bad experience as there is so much rubbish out there. But how about this as an example this year we have sold over 100 sets of front pads on the Discovery 3 Forum, you will not find a single adverse comment there about our product. Thats why we give at least two years warranty on what we sell.

When you get some spare time PM me some part numbers and target prices plus what you would pay for shipping in bulk and I will see if we can do a deal for you. Paul Redding

blooming heck. I can't believe the prices you guys have paid
when my car was in for its service the Indie phoned me saying my pads were worn and while he was doing the service did I want them replaced?
he charged me around £95 for the pads and the labour was included in the service.
total bill was £450

Can anyone advise how the Borg &Beck pads compare to Lockheed and Genuine LR?

I only ask as I have fitted Mintex to another L322 and whilst they performed perfectly, the sh!t they left stuck to the wheels was absolutely horrendous - almost like black tar & very difficult to clean off
