OBD codes on TD6 2003

Hi all,

I have searched but can only find reference to V8s.

I am trying to use an OBDII cable and various software to connect to my RR L322 TD6 2003 model. The more I read the more it appears that the kit may only work on V8s as all the folk using similar kit have Petrol lumps.

Two Questions:

Do you use ODB kit on a TD6 Diesel of this era and if so what software / protocols and cable are you using?

What other Diagnosis kit (at a reasonable price!) are you using on a TD6

Many thanks

All cars produced for EU US markets have had to be OBDII compliant from 1996....

Indeed,

I called the chap I purchased from who appears helpful, however - the unit I have bought is stated not to be guaranteed to work with diesel cars older than 2004 Embarassed It is in the add, though I took the chance all the same having seen Dans car running this software and spec of chip for the interface. Its only after that the penny dropped that you run a petrol L322 Dan.

Here is the cable I got,

The chap is trying to find some software that may work so I will report back if any joy. I can't say I was mislead by the seller as that is not the case. Its all not a simple as it could be though. Rolling Eyes

Of course the expensive option would be to upgrade the car! Laughing
