Could not have cost this much new!

eBay Item No. 300991304689
Just browsing through EBay.... Saw this and thought, no way would this S/C be 130k new in 2005.... Why do people do this? It just makes a potential buyer think about the depreciation even more, surely.
And then makes the seller appear either (a) clueless about its history or (b) misleading.

I quite like the look though, the colour coded A & E pillars seem to work with this car. Do the wheels have spacers? .
