Ok, but why would you get this instead of runflats, which have the support of the manufactures? |

Most have existing non runflat tyres and Campervan tyres are not runflat!!! |

Ok, but I'd want to know more about it technically rather than all the sales guff which reads a bit like 'tyre pixies will save you'. |

Runflats need TMPS - you can only run them flat for around 50 miles after which the sidewalls are knackered

I've used some similar stuff for years - Slime I think it's called. Works perfectly - just bung it in the new tyres (through the valve stem after removing the valve), then pop the valve back in and pump up.

I agree with Alistair on runflats. I would add that in my experience there is a higher incidence of punctures as the tread area is thinner to make up for the strengthened sidewalls. Proper tyre places won't fix them and new tyres are silly money. In the Middle East I would get them repaired in back street places for a couple of quid but I got fed up with them getting punctured so often and with the really stiff ride.

just run a search on 'Ride-On tyre sealant' and most of the hits are related to motorbike tyres. |
