I phone connection

Have an issue with the bluetooth connection with the IPhone. When I first got it, great, connected and touch screen phone book. Updated to OS4 and now after initilally connected, get "no phone fitted". But when I make or receive a call screen shows the full Phone menu and connects and plays through stereo, then when call over, "no phone fiited" so can not use screen to dial up contacts. Occaisionally get a screen asking for a pin number??? WTF? Has OS4 goosed me? No body told me there would be days like these

Ive had the same issue since upgradingto iOS4.

I will try the venture cam thing and see if it has any bearing on it.

Can we downgrade the Ios on the phone, or do Apple make it upgrade only? Discovery 4 HSE

I think you can downgrade, my mate is having problems with battery life since upgrading to OS4 and he said he's going back to 3.xx

I've not had any issues with mine since upgrading, connects to the bluetooth in my car (none-landrover one I may add)and the bluetooth in my van, both without problems. Only think I had to do to getthe ipod side of it to work with the headunit in the van was restart the phone after the upgrade as it said No USB device, been fine since though 2006 Mercedes CLS

RRUK - Yes you can go back to 3.xx. Try this link : http://lifehacker.com/5572003/how-to-downg...to-ios-313

Used to get echo issues for people I had called through RR Bluetooth, but have now got an iPhone 4 and all works much smoother with no issues. Cool

Anybody know if you can get a newer bluetooth unit for the RR that includes A2DP for music playback without leads?

I found my 3g had gone really slow and clunky for the last few weeks and I hadn't upgraded to os4.
I have a theory.

Apple have intentionally made the 3g phone slower to respond. When you click on 'messages' now it takes 3 or 4 seconds before the display appears. The same goes for any of the apps and I also found the GPS receiver going a bit hit and miss.

I instantly caved in and bought an iphone 4 (which is extremely quick to respond)

I think it's all a scam!

The iphone 4 BTW has no problems connecting with the cars bluetooth and stays connected till you get out.

Annoyingly, both phones stay connected after you've locked the car and walked away. If you get a call and were still close to it, the call would be going on in the car, instead of the earpiece!

What is this about being able to access the phone's address book via bluetooth? I have an iPhone 3GS and I don't believe I have ever been able to do this. I have programmed in voice commands to the car's NAV system so I can dial hands-free but that is a bit laborious.

This is on an 08 S/C Vogue.

Bluetooth issues

I've tried numerous phones, eg, iphone 3gs, iphone 4, htc desire, htc hd2, non of which will allow me to display the phonebook via bluetooth. It turns out that the in car NOkia bluetooth module is an old incapable module that needs replacing with the new one that WILL do it. BUT, landrover will charge you a small fortune to have this done, after first argueing with them and going through all the usual crap before they even get onto the module replacement. Search the forums for bluetooth module, theres been some good info in the past.

Good luck

You should have been on the forum a long time ago....

Now your warranty is surely out, and that's a bummer because that was covered under warranty.
