I can see a couple of flaws in their cunning plan....
What if they hook a front wheel drive car?
I can imagine loads of rear bumpers being ripped off!!

I think the best idea is a harpoon !! Previously..

It doesn't lift the car up, just allows you to stop it with your brakes.
