Best Time To Drive A Range Rover

For me driving my RR feels best when at night while hammering it down with rain/snow, on a country lane with the main beam on. Dunno why but its kinda like being indoors in front of the fire in bad weather.

Love to turn the screen & stereo off, seats and steering wheel heaters on and enjoy the ride - just got back from the chip shop with the mrs and felt the need to take the slightly longer route home down a country lane just for the enjoyment of driving.

What driving conditions do you enjoy most?

Agreed, this years trip to Le Mans was the most comfortable it's been and I've been down in a few nice motorway cars.

Can't argue with that - I do it 5 times a year and always effortless - 4 to Bordeaux and once to the Alps Thumbs Up

The A and B roads in Scotland can be fun. The roads from the Lake of Menteith to Aberfoyle and also LofM to Callander are fun in a S/C FF with small sharp hills, dips, twists and crests but on very smooth tarmac.

Likewise the road from Aberfoyle to Glengoyne distillery is fast, open and smooth but with lovely fast corners.

But they're roads and not conditions. It's always satisfying driving in heavy rain in an FF. There's a huge feeling of remoteness and safety. Likewise snow, but snow is fun is any car. It's just that an FF (or my 110 and Series III) give you that feeling of invincibility. Si. <This is my name.

If you happen to get stuck in a traffic jam, then the FF is the best vehicle to be in, cosseted from the noise, a good view of what's happening around you, super comfy seats and a great sound system to listen to the music of your choice, really lessens the pain of a bad situation Very Happy Should've been old enough to know better...doh!

when you are going with the flow in the outside lane of motorway, and you have seen an X5 bully its way past small cars by tailgating and light flashing....

and then it comes up behind you...

hahahahahahahahaha

pull over for an X5 that is tailgating you? is not going to happen.
Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
you can flash as much as you want mate stuck up my exhaust pipe....i am too high up to see even notice.

The Range Rover is always great to drive, be it good weather or bad, twisty A or B roads or motorways, but I always find its just that bit better to drive when you have just finished cleaning and polishing the car, it must be a psychological thing I guess.

I'm with you Katash. Your comment "its kinda like being indoors in front of the fire in bad weather." pretty much sums it up for me. When all around you is in turmoil, inside the FF is peace and tranquility.....on any road and in any weather. Lovely. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11
