After 9 years of FFRR ownership I am now Range Rover-less

I could not justify any longer driving a mere 6000 miles in 20 months and the FF depreciating faster than I could count!

I genuinely miss it and I would love the L405 but I just cant seem to get my head round the fact that £100k ish is a clever move knowing that 20 months later I will have probably done 5000 miles in it.

Oh what to buy next......  If you have nothing nice to say,say nothing at all.

A mate had a good deal this week..bought a black / black leather 2007 M5 E60 for £12k

It's no FFRR but bang for your buck or what Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

2 suggestions and a private plate meaning nobody/ most people will know it's age and probably won't care anyway:

1. A slightly cheaper one, with an approved used warranty and which will depreciate significantly less than the outgoing model?

2. This beautiful example which, if still for sale, you could easily get a long warranty for and - at the advertised price - looks to be an absolute bargain and is almost depreciation free compared with the figure you have referred to at the start of your post:

You'd struggle to get a warranty on a car with 120,000 miles. I know, coz I tried (and failed)  Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Private plate - from £250 off dvla

£20k tdv8 with modest milage + visit to cam tech craig for a face lift......

Bobs your uncle, 99.99999% of people would not know it wasnt an end of line l322.

Buy one under 5 years old and 50k and you can get a pretty comprehensive warranty.

Total cost. £25-26k

Drive it 6000 miles in 24 months and it will probably still be worth £20k

Much more palatable than 30k depreciation.

Thats one idea anyway...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
