Hesitant in drive when going up a slight incline (Gearbox?) | |
In my Td6 after trying out the low range gear selector (drive is quite clunky, not sure if normal) I have now noticed that when back in normal range the car has started to feel a little hesitant when the accelerator is lightly pressed either cruising in a high gear or more noticeably when going up a slight hill. It was always smooth prior to this.
My thoughts are that I have done something to the gearbox by using low range as it has not been driven in LR for a long time. But as soon as you push the accelerator the hesitancy goes.
Gear change up and down is smooth as per normal, but I am worried it is the first sign of the dreaded gearbox failure. My other thoughts were about the fuel injection system and maybe fuel filter (might change it anyway), but at slow and high speed it seems fine.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Tom
