NTSC / PAL Reverse Camera

I want to fit a reverse camera to my 2004 non-touch screen car using the OEM screen.
Does the camera have to be NTSC only, PAL only or NTSC/PAL?
I want to mount the camera below the rear bumper, does anyone have a recommendation for a suitable camera?

Thanks.

It has to be NTSC. You will find a lot of helpful information in this thread: http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/6-range-r...notes.html

Mounting it under the bumper can give you a problem with dirt on the lens. ----------

Thanks for that Thumbs Up

Playing about yesterday I managed to get an old camera I had lying about to work correctly on selecting reverse.
I presume it must be NTSC but have no way of knowing.
Fitted all the wiring just need to order a dedicated NTSC camera now for permanent installation.
I wasn't sure if dual NTSC/PAL cameras would work but your link has given me the answer.
I accept what you say about possible dirt problems fitting a camera below the rear bumper but as a comparison I already have supplementary led reverse lights mounted there the lenses of which surprisingly don't get dirty, just requiring a wipe now and again. My reason for mounting the camera there is primarily ease of installation and my requirement to positively see the towball.
