Tried the waxoyl and found it prone to getting washed off as its wax and oil. This year I have used Dinitrol - they use it in the MOD and on oilrigs , and being wax with no oil has a higher resistance to getting 'washed' off Also contains corrosion inhibitors etc as waxoyl but does tend to cost a little more. Will see how it goes this winter and see if it was worth the extra cost |

done mine 4 weeks ago, this is where the beauty of the air suspension pays off as you set it to the highest level and get under the range on a creeper ,a tin of waxoyl a 2.5 inch paint brush and waxoyl to your heart content and white spirit to clean up after as it can get very messy...2 days later the waxoyl is dry and sets hard, winter protection done. ..the beauty of it is, whilst under the r.r you get to inspect all the various bushes and see the state of other working components of the r.r.. |

I coat all the brake pipes with grease and then spray the whole of the underside of the car with a can or two of "Spray Oil" from ASDA. Do it each year, no corrosion, even living next to the sea with the inevitable salt spray. Road dust tends to stick to the oil creating a sticky, oily residue. I treat all the cars this way. |

as mine was done in the summer time,i didnt park the r.r. up,just carried on like normal, its only that 2 days later i checked to see how good of a job i had done that i noticed the waxoyl had dried up...i presume the natural heat helped in the drying process ...i will check the tin and get back to you to whats said on the tin in regards to drying time..cheers.. |

@ pld118 according to the instruction on the tin of waxoyl,,its reads..dries overnight and recommends a thickness of 2mm being applied for maximum protection..hope that helps, sad to say but its one of them very satisfying job for anyone who cares for their r.r to do... |

I always warm it up then spray it on gets into all the corners & hard to reach places. You do end up warming it up a few times to get it all done. just sit it in a bucket of boiling water & leave for ten mins. halfords do the shultze guns to spray it with Worse things happen at sea! Well thats what swmbo said when WRENS came to sea!!! |
