FFRR TDV8 / 5OOOOmile Service - Whats Involved?

I'm assuming my pride and joy will be needing a major service within the next few months as it is approaching 5OOOO miles? - although, I have not had any 'Service Required ' lights show up just yet.

Other than tyres (which are always wearing low) and brakes (which I recently replaced myself), my 56plate ffrr TDV8 is not suffering from any problems at this time - touch wood!
(actually i'm rubbing my naked self against an oak tree whilst writing this! Whistle )

I would like to ask those of you who have had experience with having the TDV8 / 5Ok service completed at a main dealer - what is involved and how much approx?

& more importantly...

...what 'other work' is the dealer likely to suggest or recommend 'will also need to be done' on top of the standard service? - only so I can prepare myself and do some precautionary checks before dropping my car of with the lying, thieving Censored 's!

If your lucky your TDV8 may have just about started to be fully "Run-In" after a meagre 50k. All it needs is the Service 1 or 2 as per the handbook and the last service you had completed.

Stop panicking the engine is still as good as new if not better Thumbs Up

I've just had mine serviced (service 2) at a little over 50k - only additional work was a refresh of the aircon of some description

That said - they completely failed to notive only one of the washer jets is working ... Rolling Eyes

Thank you gentlemen...

FOX...
Really? - Are you one of those people? - My neighbour isn't! - How much? - I can send photos! Laughing Laughing Laughing

GAZELLIO...
Appreciate your comments - Yes I am lucky - Trust me! - she is most definately 'Run-In' and i'm 'lucky' I haven't yet been caught doing so! Whistle

SLEEPEZY...
If I asked my local main dealer to complete a Service2 at 50k - they would probably think the 50k is what they could get away with invoicing rather than its mileage Rolling Eyes - thanks very much for the info though!

She will need the major service (service 2) when its due in few thousand miles - was just wondering what else the stealers might try to add, or if there were any common faults to be wary of beforehand Question

Thumbs Up Carry on...

Only things I can think would be coolant (4yrs), Brake fluid and AC re-gas.
Kind regards,
Ed
