Might be useful.

Bought this on eBay last night http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Landrover-Jaguar...7675.l2557

The seller seems to have a few of different type available - don't know if I'll be able to make it work or not - but if it does work it's a bargain! I'll update when it arrives.

No, but I've got two or three different USB and Serial adaptors I can try.

You need the JLR specific one for SDD, not a generic OBD one. They are available.

Cheers - thanks Martin. I'll wait and make sure the thing actually boots up before I go hunting - but suspect that ebay will provide!

depending what software level is loaded on the laptop

you will need VCM or Pass through device (DA - dongle)

The Software as such can be easily find on the web

Hardware might be a problem as genuine VCM i might be costly

and most of Chinese ones are crap (loosing communication wont program etc)

Now if your truck is 2004 than this is no Good for You at all Big Cry

So, looks like I might have wasted my money then?

C'est la vie.

Sad
