2005 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Tangiers Orange
KAHN - How do you know if genuine >

I have a Vesuvius Orange RRS S/C.

It was an upgrade from a nice Blue FFRR

and its utter rubbish ! The only reason I bought it was the rare colour, as it's a 1st Edition model.

I now want a FFRR and have seen one on ebay stating thats it's orange, and a Kahn model - but how can I tell if its an 'original' or an after-market modified version. The log book, according to several ID check websites, says orange. Would Kahn themselves be able to confirm ? Would it be vesuvius orange or some other colour ?

I really don't like most FFRR's in standard colours, like balck and silver etc. A red one would be ok, but had a blue one already.

Alternatively, any other colours out there that look different and 'special' ?  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Only orange Range Rovers are G4 Challenge cars that were Tangiers Orange.

Khan is not a Range Rover factory version after all. Surprised

Khan must have painted it...

ha !! worse, I own several Tanning salons !!

I don't mind if the car isn't a genuine LR colour, but would prefer to know that it is at least a genuine Kahn paint job. And what the colur is called. I know that they've used RRS vesuvius orange on cars, but this one don't quite look the same.

No not of course that was only available on the RRS "First Edition" different vehicle altogether to a proper Range Rover. As I said no factory orange in the standard range. Whistle

No such thing as Original - they're all after market conversions - so you just want to make sure Khan did the work ?

The advert says there is a receipt for the £26k spent on it - so that should be easy to verify.....

Certainly looks like Vesuvius, it's defo not the G4 orange

I quite like it Thumbs Up

If and only If it is an original kahn conversion it will have a conversion number plate under the bonnet

Open the bonnet and just above the grill on the right hand side it will have an kahn conversion number

If my neighbours RRS was anything to go by, I wouldnt use the tag "genuine Kahn conversation" as the mark of a quality job!
His was white and from what I saw, they just painted their bits the same colour and fitted them (badly). The extra body parts had gaps all over the place and were filled with the wrong colour of filler, so it was clear to all, except a blind man, that they were aftermarket and looked awful!
As to the quilted stitching, well, you plays your money and all that.......... Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
