when i lower the suspension to get out of the vehicle the front and rear lower but the front then seems to raise again slightly.
also when you then view the car from the outside (side on) the gap between the wheelarch and wheel seems noticeable greater than the rear.
is this correct ????

I may be wrong but the EAS ECU should not allow any rising of the suspension whilst the ign' is off. To level the car should only ever lower.

So if your car is in fact rising (when the ignition is off) then I'd say you have big issues. Are you sure the front is going up, and its not the angle/pitch of the car thats changing?

The first thing I would do is get the system re-calibrated, if you have a height sensor out one side could be fighting with the other, but not enough to actually throw a code.

didn't explain properly
with engine on and running, car in neutral,press the button to go into lowering mode,car lowers front and back then front raises slightly (poss about 1") then stops.
turn off ignition and thats were it stays.

Sorry to ask a silly question, but it actually raises the front (you can see from outside) or it feels like it?
Because when I put mine up, it feels like the front drops first due to the back pumping up first, which makes the nose go down about 1".

I stood outside mine with the engine on and the window open, then leaned in and played with the controls to check.

Oh, and on mine it always looks a bit lower on the back a bit when I leave it in the access height.
Do you want tyre to arch measurements to compare?

hi do you get a message on display if so there is a modified exhaust filter for the compressor,otherwise it may need recalibrated

thanks for the comments... your's does exactly same as mine.. and yes it is lower at the rear when at access height..

They go up and down when they like!

I drop mine into Access Mode every time I park up. Once the drivers door is shut it drops again at the rear (which could give the effect of the front rising?)

If you get no fault codes and the on-screen display shows no faults (look for red markers on each corner) then I would say its fine.

Sometimes they go up or down when you're sitting in traffic too. Its all just part of the self levelling. Discovery 4 HSE
