Key or worse ?

At weekend, I was unloading my car - then chatted to a neighbour and before I know it the boot and rear door has been open for about 30 mins...not a massive issue....the previous 2 hours I have had the car unlocked and the key local...

I hopped in the car to move it, turned key, dash lit up but on 2nd click nothing, car dead....turn off, close doors and lock, unlock and get in...car started...never happened before but what caused it ? Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Lights should go out after about 3-5 minutes????

Immobiliser temp fault or Alternator temp fault maybe if battery nice and perky..

Check codes see if you get a "Car lost communication with Dashboard" type code

and tbh they probably did...I wonder if it was the key, not done it since tbh and seems fine too....wife been using it this week as I am in Doha but it seems a one off....problem is I am not keen on one offs....as with LR it's usually a 2 or 3 off !!
