30 MPG !

For the first time since having my TD6 facelift I have achieved 30 mpg on a mixed urban and suburban run. I believe it may be due to replacing the oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, crankcase breather filter and fitting a EGR valve bypass kit. Judicious use of the sport mode also helped when climbing steep inclines.

The journey was from the outskirts of Bakewell, to Buxton, across the cat & fiddle to Macclesfield, stop go through Macc and Knutsford and then onto mid Cheshire on the A556. I set the computer to zero before commencing the journey.

If you know the roads and area mentioned you can see why I'm chuffed at getting 30 mpg.

I shall keep my fingers crossed that it will creep up on longer motorway journeys

Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
