so its fitted ..

i stuck it on the right and slightly behind the rear view mirror and fed the cable along the top headlining and down the a pillar tucking the cable in behind the sort of weather strip..i took the plastic upright kick panel off and at that location i spliced in new power and video feed cables as the supplied cables were to short..then i tucked both cables under the trim and then under the bottom of the center console and these came out the back by the RSE inputs.

there were 4 wires on the end of the cable , 1 for video , 1 for ground/earth , 1 for constant power and the last for accessory live.. as a temporary measure i connected both constant power and accessory together until i figure out where to get a constant live...this means that when i switch off the ignition the unit goes dead straight away and i loose the programmed time and date.. ... - .- -.

quality?

so does this camera record to an sd card chip, in the camera and does have a decent qualty? ie numberplates are readable? -not automatically, i mean on playback on a pc. i have another bulkier camera and looking for a better one. what setting gives the best/smoothest motion/resolution. thanks. theres a guy on youtube called 'techmoan' he demo's carcams with footage, but many are crap, and the good ones are quite expensive. i know offroaders like the dear ones, but mine is just for the insurance claim/coroner

the dashcam records onto a micro sd card and as for quality, well it is acceptable but not great..

techmoan has done a review on a 1080p dashcam called the 0801 which is the best small dashcam at the moment..its £70 without the gps and £82 with from here ,

you can get it cheaper direct from china but you might have to pay import duty and vat. ... - .- -.
