Starter switch

Managed to push my finger through the keyless on/off rubbery button/switch, is this an easy fix and does anyone have the part number?

Thanks

Shaun

THE PART NUMBER IS LR011897 - They are about 25 quid from Dan.

Easy to replace I did mine a few weeks ago.

I have ordered one from Dan, assume you just lever out the silver surround and it all comes out and then slot the new one back in?

Thanks

Shaun

Yes - its as simple as that. I used a plastic spatular from the kitchen and it popped out. There are thre plastic prongs - when you get the new one it is self explanatory.

My previous owner was a lady and I'm guessing whe had long sharp finger nails that poked a hole in the centre if the button.

It simply pops out.

I used the new one as a guide and you will see the 3 prongs equi-spaced push the spatula or a thin screwdriver down the padding and it will pop out!

You need to be a bit confident when you pull it!

Very Happy

must be me, can get the top to come out a little, but not the bottom, I may have to save it for my next service and get LR to fit it.

If you weere a bit closer to me I would show you!

Trust me it will come out - you just have to be confident and give it a firm pull. If you break the prongs on the old one it does not matter as you are replacing the whole surround anyway.

Surprised

Sucess, I used the spatula to ease it out a little, then some BBQ tongs to get it a serious tug.

Thanks for your help.

Shaun
