On the TPMS point, I tend to spend most of my time on the motorway so my tyres are slightly overinflated

Better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.

Having done a few miles now since my OP, and with just me in the RR, I'm finding that 34 for the back and 31 at the front to be much better on 255/55/19 - good directional feedback from the steering wheel and a smoother/more comfy ride Better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.

Bought one of these . Get very good reviews for accurate readings, so takes the guesswork out of ropey forecourt machines :

you defo need one of those gauges, garage forecourt pressure gauges are notoriously inaccurate because of the way they are treated and the weather conditons they are subject to..

I run 36psi all round which I think gives the best compromise for high speed, comfort and when fully loaded 5 up with shooting gear etc. anything veer makes it too bouncy IMHO 3.0 VSE - 2015MY
