This is the item I was thinking of....
eBay item no eBay Item No. 400475130881

It's 2010 fitting but I am sure these are the same basic fitting throughout the years , it was just the connectors that changed? I have various 2003 - 2007 & 2010 fogs somewhere, I will check they re the same.

They look nice, but -

You could use these lights as DRL style lights ( daytime running lights ) by turning on your front fog lights but you will need to have your headlights on as well for the fog lights circuit to work.

kind of defeats the point - you would really need to wire them differently.

These lights are not as bright as the original fog lights ( which is better for driving with them on as "style lights"

seems all wrong - I thought DRL's were supposed to be super bright & that's why they need to go off / be dimmed once your side lights are on ?

I think powerful are making it clear that you won't get the same light thrown out as you would from the range of a normal fog? I think these LEDs work in a different way., ie they could be extremely bright to look at, but without a lens pushing the light forward they won't be as effective at projecting it.

My thoughts were about keeping the factory look, hence the suggestion. Regards wiring, there are lots of drl control units available for about a tenner.

Sorry, looked at the eBay ad, the blurb says 2010 on, but the application lists show 2002 on.

the only way i have found to 'get' the fogs as drl's is to replace the halogen bulb with a led/smd ,rig the drl bulb wiring to a drl switch and then either stick resisters in line for the old fog wiring or switch off the hot/cold monitoring with something like the IIDTool..

this will leave you with a switched circuit for auxiliary lights etc. ... - .- -.

Front fogs aren't mot testable items, they can be broken/faulty and the car will not fail because of them. Thumbs Up
