Needs to have 4 seats and a decent boot as I do work at weekends and need to carry tools etc.
If I go back out racing I will need a 4x4 to tow the trailer but for now I want a nice car

Sorry Brian.. It's a 4 litre, or 4.2 rings a bell. Nice cars though.
The back seats are a decent size as well. Previously..

2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

S4 Avant was a pretty harsh ride, ran on 20s from memory and was just very stiff....though I am comparing it to my A8 that was a beautiful ride Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

CL55K or bi-turbo CL600's have been tickling my fancy of late. 4.5ish to 60 and most of the FF comforts to boot. There's a few sub £15k examples about with reasonable mileage and within the 10 year warranty age limit in case of expensive engine or ABC issues... '08 Audi S6 Avant 5.2 V10 with Milltek non-resonated. Vrrrrrrmmmmmph

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

I ran a 2004 3.0 cab for a couple of years.
Very well put together inside , and paintwork always polished up beautifully

Space wise, boot was good and decent rear seat space.

Quite a heavy car, I didn't find scuttle shake too intrusive.
A popular cheap upgrade was to put rear anti roll bar from the rs4 on. Got rid of the under steer in that model.

I always wanted an S4 in the later model , easily recognised by deeper front grille, so much more modern inside.
Looking at autotrader a budget of £12k gets you a very nice example of a 2006 (ie new model) S4 cab, decent miles.

You may want to look at Merc CLK, my brother sold his 2006 , full AMG kit
, exhaust , wheels for £10k !! Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Following on from Craig's AMG recommendation, we have this. Very practical, massively reliable and surprisingly economical unless really going for it. Increasingly rare, though, especially in rust-free condition. But prices are pretty low and easily within your budget.

Craig, just NA and 'only' 360bhp. Nothing near as fast as yours but decently quick when needed. Si. <This is my name.
