Just make sure you stock up on Ibuprofen tablets. The suspension is rather harsh! Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

I drove an S4 for a while, nice car, well built, harsh ride and thirsty...RS4 will add £££££ to price but will retain value better Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I hate it when sellers don't pull the advert as soon as the car is sold.. Previously..

Hi

Just seen this thread...

Yes, I had a 2005 S4 Cabrio for some while. Quick summary:

Beautifully made
Very comfortable
Goes like stink
Drinks fuel although 25mpg is possible on a run
For a cabrio, very quiet with the hood up
Gorgeous V8 burble (and howl)
Some scuttle shake (cab)
Ho hum navigation (RNS-E, showing its age now)
A bit scary in the snow...

Disagree completely about the comment about harsh ride, it was excellent (18" rims). Maybe the RS4 is way worse.

I don't think comparing the ride quality of an S4 to an RS4 is a valid one.

If you read any review of the RS4 convertible as opposed to the S4 convertible, you'll seen it gets universally slated for scuttle shake due to the harshness of the suspension. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

S4's are a lot less money than a rs4 so not sure if the rs4 is worth the extra money…
Trying to buy a car/4x4 is a nightmare after having a range rover, everything I look at is just average Confused

Thing is Brian, there's nothing can compare to an FF.

The RS4 is a beast of a car by anyone's standard, it'll be like strapping a rocket onto your back, while you have a pair of roller skates on.
The S4 is just "ordinary".
It's a whole different mindset from an FF. now if you had both......... Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

It would be great to have both Cool
We've got a mk6 golf Gti so it's a good family car.
I'm just wanting something for the weekend but can't find anything that appeals

Just remembered... My mum has an S4 cabrio... It's a lovely car. Being the 3 litre it is pretty nippy, for her anyway! Previously..

3 litre ? Is it a newer one, if so it can be remapped to be as fast as the new rs4
