Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

20" Nexen Roadian main dealer fitted to a 4.2 SC sold to us in April this year. I was surprised a main dealer fitted these but when questioning why, I was told they are tried, tested, very long lasting and trusted. They are actually very good and whilst this SC is driven carefully, they can comfortably cope with what the car needs to do on a day to day, road driving basis (not tried in ice/snow yet but anticipating they will cope with a UK winter).

2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I have just been to a mates garage and the mobile tyre man (who has sorted me the Grabber UHPs) said that he fits Nexen's to pretty much all the 20s on 4wd's....FF, Q7, X5, RRS... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Just happened to have a look round the md forcourt the other day, they have 2 ff on the front at the moment both have new nexens on at the moment. One of the discos is sitting on a set of wingwongradials, which had no discernable brand. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for the useful feedback everyone, much appreciated Thumbs Up

How do the Nexens handle in wet/snowy conditions as compared to Pirelli Scorpian Zero or Michelin Latitude Diamaris? No experience of the later.... Which would you say is a best all round tyre in dry/wet/snowy conditions...?

Ive heard some say that the Nexens are noisier than the Pirellis. Is this true? If so is it noticeable inside the cabin...?

Thanks... Better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.

I have the lat diamaris on mine at the moment, very good tyres. They are wearing evenly, and like they will give 25k of service at least.

I had them on last winter and swapped them about a bit with my 19" with wranglers and to be honest there was not a lot of difference in terms of grip in most driving comditions. The wranglers seem to be a slightly more aggressive tread than the lattitudes but both are m+s rated, and to be honest neither let me down in any of the conditions we have had over the last 18 months.

I also have scorpion zeros on the disco, but these are quite worn and i havent had chance to try them over the winter though by all accounts they should be good, though as that will be spending a fair chunk of time on site i will probably swap them for scorpion atr's or grabber at's when they are done with. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Ireland 2008 Range Rover HSE TDV8 Java Black

I have had Nexens on my new 20s and I can't fault them.Have driven a few times in the wet and no issues. Had pirelli before on 19s and can't tell any real difference in terms of noise. I would say Nexens having a softer sidewall gives the car a more comfy ride than the Pirellis. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I am running several RR's & LR's, so have a direct comparison. In terms of noise:-

1).Pirelli, Michelin & Goodyear OEM no discernable difference and are the quietest - exactly as expected for OEM
2). Vred Wintracks just slightly more noisy but only just.
3). Nexens
4). General AT hum - big difference, but ok, not too intrusive though.
5). Cooper STT - the most noisy but sound evil Twisted Evil

As for winter use the Vreds win no question on snow and especially ice.

Off road on a RR the General AT, the Cooper STT best kept to use on a Defender 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
