New MY2014 tech options

New cars to be delivered from January 2014 can be ordered with:

- Traffic Sign Recognition
- Lane Departure Warning
- Perpendicular Park-Function for Park Assist
- Parking Exit for Park Assist
- 10,2" RSE

And the best of all: front seat with shoulder adjustment.

I guess none of the above are a must have, but the shoulder adjustment reminds me of the old comfort seats that where perfect as they came from the BMW 7 series around 2005. RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

I still miss the comfort seats upper backrest adjust-ability.

Yeah, it's pretty handy. It scan's the signs for speed limits and shows the last found one in your dash. So you always know what the last sign read when you come across some coppers. I had it in the new BMW 6-series I was driving for 6 months and it worked reasonable well. RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

Traffic sign recognition gets a better NCAP score via their "Speed Assistance" criteria - turn it on and it supposedly stops you exceeding the limit read by the camera (and/or GPS mapping).

Interestingly RSE moves from being mounted in the headrest to attached to the back of the seat and mounted in front of the back of the headrest. Looks like the iPad mount.

Sounds similar to the 'heads up' display version BMW have. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

The "Toys" are all good but you are paying for them in the purchase price whether you need/want them or not. Perhaps should be options.

I wonder if the RSE design will look like the Ultimate version of the L322, where it was fitted with an iPad holder. Looks quite nice I think.

LOL shame they have no panoramic roofs left if you have ordered a car with it will now be earliest Feb 2014 delivery !! good lord and also shortage of SDv8 engines as well as take up for that option has outstripped 3.0 SDV6 4 fold.

RSE IMO is now dead weight , tech moves on to fast with tablets and everyone wants full 3g or even 4g in the back now as well Far to many gone...
