United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

I accept the equipment is in another stratosphere and also the value aspect, but it's the driving dynamics and the whole feel of the thing that's made me curious.

Many have expressed their passion for the 4.2 S/C where it's an engine that really talks to you and, I think, the driving experience is more enjoyable as a result.

From what Gary has said, is it just a matter of better chassis and a quieter, more refined (less talkative?)and more poweful engine? Is the delivery THAT much better? Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

^^ for me its the sound that really counts anyway. A FFRR is never really about going quickly, but about wafting, and a suitable soundtrack makes this experience more pleasurable. For me the 4.2 SC engine sounds far more charismatic than the 5.0 S/C; even a TDV6 L405 is now as fast as it, but the 4.2 still maintains it's own appeal. Sure, the interior on the 5.0 is much improved, that I can concede, but the engine doesn't really have the same appeal for me

But then I always was a bit loopy Laughing as you were everyone

The 5.0 is simply a better car in every way. Apart from the amazing engine you are surrounded by the latest Autobiography cabin with leather & stiching and a "Latest" model feel. Plus you get the Dual Screen, Radar Cruise Control, Updated NAv & Electronics, 2010+ Body plus a whole lot more....

Don't be silly, everyone knows that spending £2k on a facelift makes a 2002 car just as good.
