PPI phone calls

isnt it great that after you get a phone call from a PPI company that the caller says 'you're fecking mental' or 'its a waste of time talking to you' and then hangs up......

Evil or Very Mad I must confess to getting quite rude with them now. Somedays we get 3 calls... It is doing ma heid in noo.
TPS is a waste of time.... Also, have you noticed how many of these Indian call centre workers have names like James, dave, Michael etc... I have kept a message on my answer phone to play to guests for a laugh, the only words we can make out are "you ppi"... I must try and post it here. Previously..

The advantages of living in Nigeria where the mobile phone networks are "not very stable". I just say a few times : HELLO, can't hear anything, HELLO CAN'T HEAR YOU, HANGING UP NOW. And they don't know whether it is real or not because that is what the phones here are like. Second time they call, their number is saved as "advertising X" and I won't answer. Been very quiet of late Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

There was a piece n the paper the other day about a bloke who set up a premium rate number and gave it out to these scum when they called...netted himself £300 so far although it is apparently in breach of their usage guidelines..fair play to him though...

i know the feeling about the confusion when you tell them you've never had credit though, they react as if you're lying through your teeth! '08 Audi S6 Avant 5.2 V10 with Milltek non-resonated. Vrrrrrrmmmmmph

I answer then place the phone on my desk and get on with whatever it was I was doing before the call - quite amusing to see how long they carry on talking for.... Mr. Green 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

I was listening to Jeremy Vine last week and they were discussing PPI calls. One listener deals with them by engaging them in conversation, asking lots of personal questions then eventually saying 'By the way, I'm naked right now'. Apparently at this point the PPI caller hangs up................
Be honest, you want to try it, don't you?
Cool

I like the one's who say your PC has been sending them error messages and that you have a virus that's causing it.
I pretend to do as they tell me, go to the PC and type in this & that to bring up a code in a DOS window. Then they read out the code to convince you that they're actually getting something from your PC, when all Windows PC's will produce this code number. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I kept one nice India lady going for about 20 minutes telling her that no code was on the screen. She even went & got her "Supervisor" to take me through the process.

When I'd had enough, I asked; "This is for a Linux PC isn't it?"
To which she said it was only for Windows and hung up when I asked how she was getting the error from my Linux PC. Rolling with laughter

I don't have any Linux PC's. Thumbs Up
