Bit of an issue given that's the must-have option. |

Correct. Dealer did not know how long the ban was for, but obviously LR will want it to be a short pause only - maybe only a few weeks I should think. It's certainly the must-have option - in fact, not aware that anyone on this forum has ordered one without? He was speculating (and stress this is only speculation) that they may increase the option price for the roof - but then noted that they had done that for the same problem with the Evoque and it had made no difference to demand, that will be even more so for the RR I should think. I don't have any detailed insight or information, just passing on what I was told above - which would imply that existing orders are fine, but anyone trying to place one now will have a delay, so you are probably lucky - but best check with your dealer though? Interesting that time for delivery seems to be dropping though if you are getting one in 4 months, I waited 7 months for mine. How are you getting on with your TDV6? I ask because I've had mine since March but in May ordered a replacement SDV8 for delivery end of this month. I would never criticise the V6 for it does what it says on the tin but has to work so hard to deliver the performance. I seem to notice things like constantly changing gear uphill, higher revs and poor economy. How about you? Perhaps I was spoilt driving the TDV8s for 7 years. Whoever dreamt up 37.7 mpg for the V6 must have been really dreaming. I can't get more than 28.9 after 8 K miles. MY15.5 SDV8 4.4 A/B FFRR Mariana/Ivory

Ask me again after I've owned it for more than 24 hours . Only drove it for the first time today. 35mpg indicated and I'm very happy indeed with everything but we'll see... This means that also demand for pano-roof fitted cars will be high in second hand. You'd better have one or it cuts you selling price in a few years.

Local dealer's new SDV8 SE demonstrator doesn't have the panoramic roof. Seems odd given that I can't remember seeing one without it driving around. I wouldn't want one without it. |

Roof issue (original thread) irrespective of whether V6 or V8 of course. In response to the couple of comments/queries re V6 v V8 here: each to their own view - as I’ve posted elsewhere (http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic20562.html) I came from an early V8 322 to a new V6 405. I’m sure the V8 405 is fantastic, but so far I think the V6 L405 is great too. Early days but 500 miles in I for one AM getting the indicated 38mpg . But I just drove my previous 322 V8 again and it’s also great Norman
