Got bit of a strange problem if anyone can shed some light for me. I have a sc and been convrtrd to LPG and when flooring it when it gets to 3500/4000revz it splutters also like a misfire sound and won't go any further. Strange thing is it does it on petrol as well as LPG, on petrol it goes into safety model and shows up map sensor fault but not on the lpg on the reader. Has any 1 had. Similar problems or can any one help I am pulling my hair out. Jonno has been helping me out top man but still no luck [/s]

Have you tested the MAP sensor or replaced it? It could be failing slowly for example. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Hw do I test the map sensor. Will this cause the problem u think?

If you go to the below link you will find the workshop manual that covers the "early" SC models. You will find a lot of details on the MAP sensor (since that is the fault coming up) and how to test it.

If the MAP sensor is on its way out, it will give the ECU incorrect values that might lead to too much or too little fuel being injected or incorrect settings of ignition timing etc.

It's a normal PDF document (at least my version) so you have to go through it manually apart from the hyperlinked chapters. The MAP is somewhere in the engine management section. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
