The VW Amafuk doesn't seem to get a very good write up about it , the Toyota Hi-Lux on the other hand does ….

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Funny the South Africans love the new Amarok over the HiLux and Ranger in the tests I read that included a fair bit of offroading as well (the magazines were about bush camping and 4 wheeldriving Smile ).

I love the looks of the Raptor, better put it on big Artic wheels as well and don't forget to order your oversized Stetson Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Scotland 2018 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Montalcino Red

Looked at having a pick up to tow the caravan and buy a car before buying the ff as we were only doing a couple of miles a day decided just to buy the one hence the ff.
Now doing around 400 miles a week commuting trying to convince the better half to get an Audi TT tdi Quattro to run back and forth to work to cut down the fuel and maintenance.

Looked at the new hi lux and ford ranger recently and I am interested in both, lease cost though is still quite high on these and the vw amarok.

Couple of the boys i deal with use the L200 and navara as company cars due to the tax benefit and if your vat reg you get the vat back. Gone

Disco-bobtail is even more awsome in the flesh than in pics. No idea why LR don't make an official one, it'd wipe the floor with the competition.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

The hilux is a good truck but bear in mind that they are commercial vehicles, they drive ok, but no better than that. I have 2 we use for work, and they do the job fairly well, but you need a cover for the rear load bed or they lose all practicality, as you cant leave anything in them overnight, the engines are noisy and, unless you get the 170 invimcible, underpowered imho. We have a 200hp factory chipped one and even that is a bit weedy.

The new ford ranger is by all accounts more car like to drive and will also tow more. In addition it has a deeper load bed which gives more storage if you choose to have a load bed cover rather than a hard top.

I am after a disco 4 commercial at the moment, looks to be ideal for me the bigger the space behind me the more tat i will carry round with me so a space smaller than a mwb master van is ideal. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

Is the load area of most of these pickups much better than a D4 commercial though??

You can then get the bits fitted in the back for not much money and still have 5 seats when you need it. Although IMO fitting a towball to the FF and just having a box trailer thats double ply lined to throw stuff into and out of is the cheapest option other than a commercial disco for comfort and driving ability Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I have had a couple of double cab type vehicles and generally they are a PITA in some respects for work.
Unless the back is covered with a lockable hard top you can never leave stuff in the back. If you need to carry a 6x4 sheet it is awkward if you have stuff in the back already. They do have their uses but it depends on what you need to move or carry.
I would consider a transit type vehicle for work. Previously..
