LR service records

Does anyone know if landrover keep a record of all work done on a car referenced against either the VIN or the reg.

For example i am wanting to find out if the alternator/generator on mine has been replaced. I am waiting for it to fail but as yet it seem to be working fine, it has managed to outlive my expectations and im wondering if i can find out whether it failed early in the cars life and was changed under warranty.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

I've researched a few cars and when I contacted LR customer service, they've always referred me to the dealer who carried out the servicing. Most will be happy to provide the details, including any warranty work.
Had an issue with a non-LR garage who chose to hide behind the data protection act and refused point blank to tell me anything. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

England 2018 Range Rover Autobiography 2.0 PHEV Loire Blue

From experience, they only keep central records on warranty claims. Ie , if they had to pay then they can tell you where, when and mileage. If outside warranty then you would need to ring all the dealers that could have done it. I think replacements get a two year guarantee. My Previous RR's!

Ok, cheers.

I have a complete service book and the first few were farnell in leeds, then Green Oval did an oil change on it, followed by guy salmon who just carried out an inspection prior to my delivery. the next oil service was hunters for me.

so from that it seems that Farnell are the people to talk to. I will give them a bell. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

LR Service Records

Contact your local dealer they should be able to give you all the information. You may need to give them the VIN number and they can pull up the service records for the car that have been carried out within the LR dealer network. I managed to get my service history for my 2002 Full fat.

I did this exercise a few weeks ago when I wanted to find out if a new battery had been fitted. I was due to go abroad and although I had not had an issue with the battery I didn't want it to fail on holiday. So I rang LR and asked the same question, they said that they could find out warranty work but anything else then you have to go to the dealer who did the job. They then kindly gave me a list of M/dealers that had worked on the car. I didn't go any further and I bought a battery from Matford LR who gave me a 25% discount and what a difference a new battery makes. '88 RR Classic, '90 Classic, '93 Classic, '02 Discovery TD5, '55 Discovery 3, '01 P38 4.6, '06 L322 Vogue TD6, 2012 L322 Vogue TDV8, 2017 L405 Autobiography

My local dealer told me a couple of weeks ago that a Land Rover central database came on line a couple of months back. Any work which is carried out from now by a LR dealer will be recorded on the new system. Prior to that there was no complete central records system.
