BCB the kit is on fle bay at the mo and there are not many about yes ffrr winch retains the pdc a few new clips required via tlo

and this is a tfc fitting

So I guess the short run at Santas helped then ?

Oh yes Mr. Green

As I may have already said... If I still have a job come April, I'll be chopping the D3 in. Thumbs Up

The winch mount... is it this one? Did it need much 'fettling' to make it TDV8 compatible?

bobby, new members always welcome, why are you planning to swap out of the D3? They're still an excellent car, I've always said that, and will never rule out having one, purely if not primarliy because you can pick up a 1 year old HSE for chips these days!

And that TDV6 is SO smooth (compared to my wheezy old TD6) Discovery 4 HSE

There's loads I will miss about the D3 - I love it - but that's not the question you asked.

My main reason for changing is to get a more powerful engine / better power to weight ratio. I have my TDV6 tuned, which makes a big difference, but it must weigh at least 3T with all the bits I have bolted on and it just doesn't have enough 'ooomph' for me.

There's meant to be a 3.0 TDV6 in the pipeline, and if the Jag variants are anything to go by it could rival the TDV8's performance. But it's been in the pipeline a long time, and when it eventually comes it's bound to attract a premium so I'd be paying top whack for a brand new HSE D3 - which will probably be about the same money as a one year old Vogue.

Indeed, low mileage RR TDV8 Vogues are now around £32K, you can pick up extremely low mileages TD6 Vogue SE's for just over £20K, silly money, and when chipped, not too bad performance, just not very smooth or quiet. Coming from a TDV6 you'd probably think it was a demotion.

You should have no trouble selling or PXing your D3, everyone likes them. Discovery 4 HSE
