Extended rear facing child seats

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of these seat in the fullfat?

There is BeSafe and Axkid Kidzofix. Which are both rear facing isofix seats for 9mth up.

Or anyone got anything else that they think is good? The Scandinavians are all into these rear facing seats until 55kgs while most of the usuals go front facing after 12kgs

Any views would be good.

Cheers. Thumbs Up

G

Im pretty sure i had a britax one which was either front or rear facing and would take them upto a pretty respectable weight.

Worked well but in the back you cant see them so its a bit tricky on long journeys, the. Theory is sound in that if in an accident then they are more likely to suffer neck trauma when forward facing than rear, but in practice there were few available when our kids were little. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Leg room must be an issue if rear facing after 9 months......we had the same back/forward style one that did my eldest from 0-3 and the youngest is in it now. Its hard to stop them kicking the front seats, so god knows how you get sufficient leg room for older kids facing backwards! '08 Audi S6 Avant 5.2 V10 with Milltek non-resonated. Vrrrrrrmmmmmph

Aye, they are pretty close to the seat back. I think with the isofix you get a bit more room but the passenger seat needs to be moved forward a good bit as well.

I thought a fullfat would be good enough protection. But it's the neck injuries that seem to be less severe with the back facing seats.
