4.2 SC vs 5.0 SC: RACE!

Stan,

I can't find a video of the L322 racing each other but here's the sports doing it.

This is a 0-100-0 test. Quite astonishing!

I think that was the Test to show how far they go on a full tank of fuel before they cut out... Whistle Previously..

That is quite surprising. Shocked

I mean, the 5.0 should be a lot quicker than that. Razz Si. <This is my name.

Yeah if you see over 18 an are doing over 60, best call LRA out Adam Very Happy

Im sure the 5.0 also has changes to the way it shoves power about the drivetrain and the gearing helps as well. But engine on engine the torque curve on the 5.0 is much nicer and i can imagine when they get played with a little will push out some serious shunt.

Though to me a launch option would be nicer where it raises the rear an inch and drops the front 2" until you hit about 80 and then starts to settle more normally to give extra grunt off the line as you can see how much the rear of it sinks under the strain of the chassis taking that amount of power... The new SSRR and 405 should do a lot better. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I pulled away from a junction yesterday, not trying to floor it at all and got wheelspin!

When you do push on and it's going down through the gears it sounds amazing Cool Discovery 4 HSE

Ahem!! A 4.2 in standard form will do the same. Embarassed Mr. Green

These are seriously addictive engines! Bow down Si. <This is my name.

a 4.4 TDV8 will also spin if you dump the accelerator when pulling away - put it down to the huge amount of torque 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Strange. I've not got the Supercharged, just the regular Jag 4.4 and its fantastic about putting down its power WITHOUT any wheel spin. I've never disabled traction control, so that might have something to do with it. Just has lots of smooth, silent power whenever needed (wanted).
