Thanks, would you know where the amp is installed in the RR? The amp may have a sub-output... |

The sub is in the back, left side. The amp is also there. If you remove the left cover you can see both. I also find the sound dissapoiting, I had the Disco with the premium (non Logic7) before and it sounded MUCH better from less speakers... |

thanks, I've located the sub this morning, in the rear 1/4panel right next to the DVD nav module, a nice big black box with a 6" or 8" woofer, turned the volume up, you could feel it was vibrating, but somehow not much sound or very little sound coming out of it, I sat in the back seat, could feel or hear very little, the majority of the bass still coming from the front!! Too much power going into the midrange spks, and not enough power going thru to the subbox. I think a solution would be to install a decent, but discreet active sub-box in the boot, and reduce the bass setting on the HK itself, it should hopefully gives me the depth of bass I really wanted ps just in case anyone thinks I'm a chav blasting out music..I'm not!!! All i wanted was quality sound |

So true about the bass... I'm curious, beside the bass/treble and balance controls, aren't there other settings? Like, effect, delay, etc.? |

Nope! Just bass, subwoofer, and treble May be I'll ask JE engineering, a well known LandRover specialist whom also does ICE upgrade... |

Neat! But couldn't you put it in the original sub's place? Here's what I found somewhere:

Hi Adara, that looks like a custom built box with may be a 10"woofer on it, the std HK sub enclosure only has a tiny 5-3/4" woofer!!! No wonder its making hardly any bass

Never really thought the std Sub in the Sport or the Vogue does much, no matter what you set it too, can't really tell any difference.

I can't even figure if the panel in front of the speaker is allowing soundwaves to pass through it... |

It has a speaker grill on top of the panel to allow the sound out.... |

That small one? No way! That's why the lows are so puny... |

more update... had it installed this morning, more than happy with the result, the bass now has much more depth, and slightly softer, mine is a 12" active sub, although I suspect a good 10" will be just as good(will give more punchier sound), and saves more space.
