if you want a decent socket set you cant go far wrong with having a look at what halfords have got, there are a couple which would have all the tools you woul need in them.

The existing bolts require a T40 torx bit.

Yep I've got the Halfords Professional socket set. It was around £100 as it was discounted. I assume I'll just need the driver bit then and possibly some penetrating oil.

If you are fitting the strut to the bottom tailgate dont be tempted to overtighten the self tapping nuts as they will strip the thread they have cut for themselves quite easily. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
