I spoke to the Land Rover people at Gaydon on the day I was driving the new Sport, the LWB L405 is designed for export markets, Russia, China etc.

They don't see a big market for it in the UK, although undoubtedly some will want it. "Build it and they shall come"

What's quite odd when you think about is that when they did the test-bed Range Rover Classic LSE, to see how the extended wheelbase and air suspension would work for the incoming P38, once you got in the P38, it didn't seem anywhere near as roomy in the back as in the old Classic.

So, then the L322 comes out with the same dimensions and yet again, it's not exactly massively spacious behind a long legged driver. So the question is, where did the space go!???

interesting: in response to 'where did all the space go' look at the seat squabs: they get longer with each generation for lounging back seat passengers! actually was quite nice to sit so upright with more space in the classic. Good for posture u know... Laughing
