Top Gear new sport review and best of British

Just watched tonight's Top Gear and they reviewed the new 2013 Sport, F-Type and did a great finale on the motoring industry that calls the UK home. Was a great episode for a change. Tom

Yes for once they didn't muck about with rubbish, liking the RRS ( Censored quick ) but FFRR is the only one to have IMO Cool If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

I really enjoyed the whole series. Very Happy

What you do is get into the right frame of mind, its a bit like watching a "James Bond" movie, You know that it isn't real & is very contrived but is still highly entertaining. Thumbs Up

Bring on another new series, it almost makes me want to pay the license fee........Perhaps not :mrgreen

Robert.... Whistle The reason women's minds are cleaner than a mans mind is that women change their minds more often!
When women say fine a mans in deep doodoo as fine has so many meanings.

Watched the bit at the end with all the british vehicles.......

Got a bit weepy with pride Big Cry Big Cry

But in all seriousness we need the media in general to jump on this type of bandwagon as we start to edge towards a period of sustained growth Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

sadly the BBC then followed it with a program about how Germany took over our car industry. Bad scheduling!

Good finale, but I'm starting to dislike James May.
The section where he drove the bus was very predictable. He can't get it started, shouts "cock" a couple of times, gets stuck and hits a few things. All set up as well. Imagine my surprise when people started to get on the bus! Rolling Eyes

I've always disliked Hammond as well. He was annoying when he had a motorcycle show on Men & Motors. And have you noticed every programme he has any involvement in is always called "Richard Hammonds......"

I think those two should be ditched now. They bring nothing to the show IMHO.

Except that it's funny as hell watching May and Hammond's reactions when they get shafted by Clarkson on the Top Gear 'Specials'

Rolling with laughter

the show is more about the three stooges and not so much on the cars....it really needs a revamp with a different format and presenters and maybe a half hour weekly show and a longer season.. ... - .- -.

I agree Stan. The current format is well past its sell by date and needs freshened up a bit.

The problem is, with "real(ish)" car programs like 5th Gear etc, there's probably still a place for the daft exploits of TG, but what could they possibly come up with next? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Was good light entertainment but not a car show anymore.
Bit of bad scheduling having program about the rise of the German motor industry straight after all that flag waving! Mine was a blue one! Smile

I think even they know its past its best and has pretty all been done to death, however as a way to spend an hour in the lounge of a sunday evening, as opposed to antiques roadsho or songs of praise its still up there. If you want decent car info read auto car (do that as well, though mostly not in the lounge...) There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

+1 Gets a little wearing when an entire county is coloured by one poncy arriviste suburb filled with (yuck) footballers and their assorted orange courtesans and vacuous hipster progeny.

Censored
