Well the day finally came. Had the FFRR for 3 years on a lease. Was umming and ahhing about buying it at the end but the price was too high so it went back today. Just the Disco-3 and the wife's XF on the drive now. Seems weird. The D3 does make me smile though being a V8, pulls like a train and burbles nicely. Stacks of room too.

But, off to Gaydon to test the new Sport in a couple of weeks. Might just line one up in a year or so, especially as it can be a 7 seater.

i think you'll miss it Dom, i did and have now come back to the fold.. ... - .- -.

I kind of do miss it already if I'm honest Stan but I doubt I'll ever get another L322. Like I said, depending on how things go I might look at a new Sport in a year or so. The 405 is too expensive for my taste (my build sheet got to over 100k) cos that kind of cash means 2 thing to me, a new D4 HSE and a S/H DB9 for the weekends. Besides, I really do like the 7 seat option which the new Sport will have.

But, I've also seen some ideas about how the new 2015 D5 will look and I'm equally tempted by the look of that. In the meantime the D3 is keeping me amused and I managed to get back to petrol power which was also a good thing.

you're right, £100k can buy some nice stuff and petrol power is good ... ... - .- -.
