There are mint ones out there if you look long enough. I sold one of my RR's recently, No rust, 1 owner with 80k on the clock, FLRSH, no dinks or damage, every receipt and MOT etc - its just a case of finding the right one. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Thanks for the info, will not give up just yet then. Just reluctant to travel to far to view when I've wasted my time viewing the last 4. But as you say, the right one is out there, somewhere! |

I just got a 2009 car with 40k miles. The tailgate top is rusty and bubbled right across the seam. New tailgate is £1256 plus vat plus paint and labour. Took car to aproaved body shop who said they would treat and paint as guarantee wouldn't cover new panel. the rust is coming from inside out so again, little point in just painting over the problem TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.

Also of note is that you often get issues with the mixing of metals on the door frames. The aluminium reacts with the steel bubbling up under trims etc. I'm not sure if it is as serious as normal rust but it is common on the upper door frames etc. Tom
