Me too, they both look good. The only thing I don't like on the new model are the hockey stick lights - makes it look of oriental origin Confused And why all that blingy different colour roof and trim profiles, it's missing subtlety - and cheapens what would be a classy vehicle 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

I like the new one! Very Happy although, with the white roofs, you do have to be a bit careful to get a nice one. I saw a bunch at the dealership and thought they were great. However, while I liked them, I didn't like them MORE than the L322s.

Point taken about the price. I can't afford a new one. Big Cry however, even if I could, I wouldn't want that much $$ tied up in a car. I think the 07-09 cars represent the best performance, looks and comfort FOR THE MONEY at the moment.

The new one is a grower but is clearly aimed where the money is i.e Middle East and Asia.

For me the L405 doesn't work based on the following design elements:-

- The 'wrap around' front and rear lights, they look too much evoque/old shape BMW 5 series Crying or Very sad
- The stupidly large side vents
- The strange horizontal slatted grills below the headlights, what is the point in these? Rolling Eyes
- The silver strip running up the length of the car to the rear lights

IMO if Land Rover removed/toned down the above design elements the car would have been a cracking looking car, more in line with the L322's design ethos, however still a step forward in design, technology, aero dynamic etc Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black

Scotland 2018 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Montalcino Red

Really starting to like them the more you see on the road but only in the darker colours.Had a good look around one in the dealers the other week and was impressed with the finish inside and electric tailgate.
The price for that vogue SE was 88.5k think I'll wait till there three years old and see what kind of money there at then.
Had a sport as a courtesy car last week and was impressed by the 3l engine so I would imagine it will be pretty good in a l405.

88k to spend on a car I think I would get a late 4.4 diesel and a good used cayman four a bit of fun best of both worlds. Gone

I agree the L322 is still looking excellent. Remarkable really given how long it’s been around, compared to some other cars launched back then (Hyundai Getz, anyone?) - mind you I guess the Touareg (and therefore Cayenne) and Volvo XC90 haven’t lasted badly if you like that style. I am getting an L405 in a few weeks, but then I am coming from an early 02 model 322 – which is still absolutely fantastic and full working order – there’s no rational reason to change it, just fancy something new and the man maths works…. So the choice was between another later 322 or the new one, and I like the idea of moving on to the next generation. Norman

Talking Astons, I prefer the DBS over the new Vanquish! Or the Newport Pagnell Vanquish instead of the Gaydon one for that matter.

dont like it! -yet

hmmm, when i first saw an l405 i was a bit dissapointed. on the outside, i saw the 'Amy winehouse' wrapround lights. didnt like them, (BMW lost the plot with their Dame Edna lights a few years back!) and the fakey side gills, didnt like them either. squareish back lights, didnt like them, though they hark back to original... had a good look throiugh the windows, -like the interior -a lot! but the wood grain looked too fake! theres no doubt its a better car, its aluminium, so much lighter and better on fuel.
But, when i take a look at a picture of the original classic, it looks so RIGHT! and the l322 looks like its natural succesor, however, the P38 looks a 'miss' coming between. so maybe we have to have the l405 between the next, -next generation.
Aonther other thing i feel is wrong, is that there used to be land rovers, and the pinnacle was the range rover.
now we have landrovers, and three types of range rover. so the brand is being watered down. -just let me pull my snob-nose back down a bit.... the original was and still is a classic. i believe the l322 will remain a proper well loved model, and the later cars, especially the sport will become the bling mobiles. many older sport owners will find all sorts of costing issues as their engines give up -as the body has to come off the chassis to change, even for just a turbo! who can do that at home? how daft is that!
and also, on the l405....deployable tow hook? and side steps. whatever next, auto unscrewing petrol caps?
am I just being pick-ey as i wont be buying one till about 10 years time!
