Had a sit in a 2010 vw Pheaton today, quite impressed, 4x4 all the toys cant help wondering what am i doing in a big expensive RR even as much as I like them just for the 2 weeks a year that it snows. |

I looked at loads of cars when I was changing from my 06 ffrr and I really couldn't find anything that drives as well, FFRR are smooth and safe, all the German stuff was back breaking and as I already have a broken back I didn't want the hard ride. I could have saved a lot of money with an Audi Q8 but I went for 2012 FfRR |

One other thing - I think I've read that the kerb weight of the 4.2SC is around 2.5 tonnes, and the 5.0 over 3 tonnes. Assuming those figures are right, does that weight ever feel like a bit too much of a handful under heaving braking or cornering (and yes, I do understand that a FFRR even in petrol guise is not a car to throw round corners like an Elise...!)? |
