Smile Thats snazzy JW911...

I take it you are a fan of the Beechdean Mansell Motorsport Team and will be supporting them at this weekends Le Mans 24hrs? (assuming, because of the Red5 displayed on your car)

Have a great time (and a safe journey) Thumbs Up Do us some photos please...

Are you going on the trip organised by the Stratstones Dealers?

Yeah - I read that after you mentioned in your post yesterday jayzee, a real shame Sad , sounds like they did a fine job just getting the team prepared to compete at Le Mans in such a short space of time - let alone qualify.

Pity we didn't get to see 'Our Nige' drive for longer and share the car with his sons before any problems took place.

Just watched a clip on BBC F1 of the incident at Le Mans - bit concussed and banging headache by all accounts, but he will be back next year I am sure Thumbs Up

Hope it didn't spoil the trip for JW911 too much Rolling Eyes

I just got back from LM in the FFRR as well. We camped just outside the Porsche Curve (Blanc). Had a great time (I need to dry out a little now). There weren't too many RR's - but the split between FFRR's and RRS's was about even.

Like the colors - I made do by wearing my Gulf baseball cap. Rolling Eyes

Thanks. Yep, poor Nige was out after four laps. The Gulf Astons were better (won the trophy for best sound if nothing else) and my mate's mate who was racing for Paul Drayson finished (albeit uncategorised as they didn't complete enough laps).

Hopefully going again next year, this time in the 911. My attempt at a burnout in the Rangie was described as "moving away". Embarassed 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

Did you try a burnout in the puddle of whatever that the largish group had set up at night on the main drag? I didn't even try - just waved to the crowd. 4WD & TC do not make a good combination for smoking tires...

Tell about the 911. I started a thread on RR&911 owners on RR.net a while back. There were quite a few. At the moment, I 'only' have my project: 76 911 done up to look like an SCRS w/a very warmed over 3.8 (3.6 originally). Must finish soon...

The "burnout" (or not) was on the way into Houx on Friday lunchtime. Thought I'd show willing. Nice V8 woofle though. Thumbs Up

The "911" is a 2002 996 Turbo with a few Manthey bits. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster
