Bit the Bullet

After many months of contemplating I finally stepped up the plate and bought a nice L405 TDV6 demo car in Causeway Grey with Ebony interior with virtually all options you can imagine. Drove it back from Munich to Holland yesterday and boy what a difference this new generation makes. Its ride is smooth as silk, the engine noise is non existent, the adaptive cruise control is perfect, collission detect is flashing like mad when Porsches traveling at 250+ km/h speeds are zipping by and the stereo is majestic. Even cruising at 215 km/h it still was rock solid. After a 7,5 hours drive with lots of roadworks I stepped out of the car fresh as a baby. Don't believe any word people write about their old Range Rover being so much better, the L405 is the way to go if you can get your hot little hands on one. You won't be disappointed. RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

According to the OPs profile he has the TD6 engine option. Doesn't square with this:

"the engine noise is non existent"

I agree, but you cannot choose a TDV6 and also can't choose the right color. So I guess those tables need to be updated some day. RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

Lovely, well done you!

I test drove a 4.4 i Causeway, seems to be the preferred dealer choice for demo cars.
