What's a good wax then please. I usually stop after using AG SRP (I've got AG Ultra Gloss but stopped using it as I couldn't see the benefit for the extra time taken to apply)?

Thanks

Collinite 476. It's a paste wax so can be difficult to work with - do a panel at a time, but it lasts for about 6 months Thumbs Up

Yeah I just use the £9.95 hose sprayer, which is more like a bubbly pre-wash than a snow-foam, but does the job well and removes dust / salt and softens everything else well enough.

Don't forget you can use many coats of SRP if you want to fill out bramble rash. I tend to go with about 5 coats, allowing it 30 mins to cure between each coat. Lasts for ages and really fills out the scratches, although I am starting to get a few marks that won't fill anymore and will need a respray.

Try collinite 845 it's a lot easier!!!
Dodo juice is easy to apply, hard wax is no different just harder to get on the pad making sure you don't put too much on. Better to have two thin coats that one thick.

It all sounds like a lot of effort Rolling Eyes

Personally if i have a spare day then the car will get a wash with AG shampoo , clay bar, a polish with what ever polish i have around at the time (or can find in the garage), there is a whole selection, AG srp, AG ultra deep shine, the blue one which smells like sweeties bit i cant remember the name of.

If its badly scratched it will get s session with the g3, and then to finish some high gloss protection.

I also have some aqua wax which worked ok but its only been put on once......

Thats is i have a spare day, if not it will get a wash and thats it Big Cry

Top tip....... Dont let the kids help! Las time i let my 5y.o daughter help whe put the wash mit on the ground then, proceeded to wash the car with a gravel encrusted mit Big Cry Big Cry There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Agreed. Tbh, I find all the different polish types confusing so tend to stick with AG SRP which I've used for years... And I've usually no time to put any coating on top of the SRP... And I never have time to wash, dry and polish a car in one go so just do the odd panel here and there.
