Rear wiper park position

I am a new L322 owner and am working my way through the issues with it

Whilst trying to test rear high level brake light wiring I noted the electrical leads for rear wiper had been disconnected. And there was an orange stain in cover I removed to get to wiring. I reconnected the wiper wires and gave it a try the wiper worked but 2 issues

1. No water jet working
2. The wiper would stop where it liked it would not park up undef spoiler.

Is there a park relay or something I need to look for

sounds like you need a new wiper motor. It seems to be an "intelligent" wiper arm, as in it knows how to park itself. when my wiper motor was goosed, I had no water coming out and the wiper arm done what ever it liked. swapped the motor out for new, fixed straight away. MY2010 TDV8 Vogue Ipanema Sand

As above, the rear wiper has an ECU (control of delay, washer etc.) built into it as one unit.
There will be a park switch or sensor inside there somewhere, just depends if you want to get that involved stripping it down to sort it.

Orange staining is usually rust, the washer fluid runs through the centre spindle of the wiper which can then corrode the steel. The rust then blocks up the washer jets (there's two) in the arm itself. It can be cleared with the usual prodding with a pin but might need a bit of force if it's been clogged for a while.
The downside of the washer fluid running through the spindle is eventually the sealing gives way and fluid will enter into the mechanism rusting it solid. If caught in time the seal can be replaced (I expect the other links probably explain that).
