Can any of you kind fellows help. I have Xenon headlights which are supposed to be self leveling and the independent high beam halogen set up

Firstly mine are not active lights, had these in my Sport and were excellent, but these lights are pants. Good on dip beam but useless on high. Light the trees and hedge but nothing on the road and have zero range. After having such good lights, I'm struggling.
Current ones don't cycle when switched on as Sport did but getting no warnings on dash. Any idea if high beam can be adjusted without affecting xenon and if dip beam should move up and down when switched on? TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.
TDV8 Sport. Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!

Sounds like the bi-xenon flappers are not working... That's the flap that moves up & down making the beam top disappear with full beam...

Check fuses, plug into IDS...
