RR Virgin but hopefully not for much longer

Evening everyone. put on to this site after asking for advice about Range Rovers on a Bike forum Laughing

I'm looking to buy a RR got my eye on a 2002 model just shy of 8K but i'm not up to speed with RR's, I have a 97 Discovery 300tdi at the moment. So get ready for some stupid questions that have probably been asked too many times as it is....Oh yeah, just a bit of a warning, search is not my friend.

I've owned the Disco for about 11 years now and the dreaded R has set in and I dont think it will get through the next MOT without loads of welding etc Crying or Very sad
I also ride a BMW 1200GS (thats a bike in case you guys wasnt aware). I live in the Forest of dean, where the women are questionable and the Sheep are worried

Well, thats enough about me, tell me about you Thumbs Up

Also have 97 Disco (V eight) Great car. Almost unstoppable, but RR a lot faster and more comfy.

Anyone know why I can't type the digit that comes after 7 without it turning into a smiley with sunglasses?!?! Shocked Shocked

I think it is because you put it in the brackets, the 8 ) is the emoticon for smiley with sunglasses Thumbs Up

Thanks Dave699, starting to look through that link and also read the buyers advice link

Ah, thanks Buz. Thumbs Up

To the OP, the Disco will do everything the FFRR will do and be cheaper to run, but the FFRR will do everything with a lot more panache. Enjoy.

I don't have a TD6 and it seems they can have a few issues, so buy carefully, check EVERYTHING works, Check the servicing history, and have it inspected. Bring along a friend who has that model to look at it. Once you've driven one for a whole, you can tell if it 'feels' right or not.
